It's my Burfday!!!

Well, it was my birthday. It came and went and now I'm a year older. I have to admit I was lil weirded out, but I quickly got over it and lovin my 33 yr old self. I got to step up my diva game a lil bit more now, I can't let them young girls think they got nothing on me (LOL). Seriously, I'm still me, and in 10 years from now I hope to still be me, even better. I believe this is going to be a GREAT year!!

Why Limit Myself?

So I was looking thru various blogs and I decided to check out this blog, cherricocoa. I checked it out cuz my YouTube name is cherricocoa and I so wanted to use it as my blog name also. I was kinda upset someone else was using it.

I decided to check it out, and although it only has a couple of post I liked it alot. It made me feel a lil simple that I was writing about being over thirty. Her 1st post about her getting bored quickly described me so much. As did the the 2nd post about honesty.

It made me want to be more open about what I write and not limit this blog to the 30 something sistas.

My 1st Post

This is my first time blogging. I've been thinking about it for a long time. I was always timid, thinking I didn't have anything relevant to say (or write).

But my birthday is Friday the 9th, and I'm going to be 33. I know so many women who freak out about turning 30 and at the thought of getting older. I, fortunatley, was not like that. I am still not like that. I feel good. I realize I'm a lil bit older, but I still feel like that same 25 year old Diva.

The job situation is cool, and so is the marriage. Well, it is now. He better be planning something good for my Bday. I made sure he had a good Bday last month. Not trying to be petty or on some tit for tat BS, but my Bday is the only day of the year that's all about me. No anniversary to share, no planning kids Bday parties or cooking for the holidays. It just for me. I think any mother can understand that.

I tried to get my 9 year old to tell me what daddy had planned but she wouldn't budge. I was asking my husband about it on the sly but he was oblivious. But we'll see.
